SNOWBALL STUDIOS IS A RUSSIAN GAMES PUBLISHER
Snowball Studios is a Russian games publisher. We are based in Moscow, Russia and we operate in the CIS (the term covers former USSR with the exception of Baltics). As of Q2'09, we published over 250 games for PC, as well as for Sony's, Microsoft's and Nintendo's console platforms, with more than 12% of releases selling in excess of 100,000 units. We work with European, American and Russian partners, publishers & developers, international & independent. THE COMPANY
The company was set up back in 1996 by three partners who still run the studio - now with the help of a skilled & reliable team that shares the same ambition, "good business through good games". We have 20 people in-house (creative, technical, propaganda, administration & business) and 30 independent contractors (session directors, sound engineers, artists, tool programmers & the like). THE PORTFOLIO
The portfolio of Snowball is a mix of well-known properties (Mass Effect, Demigod, UP!), indie games (Machinarium, Mutant Storm, Starscape) & particular genres in which we specialize (wargames & alternative history, adventures, RPG, & games for kids published under a separate kids label). Over the years we delivered some of the best localizations in the Russian industry, including Gothic, Mass Effect & cross-platform same-day release of WALL-E. SNOWBERRY CONNECTION IS AN INTERNATIONAL FUND
Snowberry Connection is an international fund for financing & production of games from independent teams. The fund was set up by Snowball Studios in 2006, with first full-time employees enlisted in 2009. As of Q2'09, Snowberry Connection co-financed, co-produced & released internationally 8 games developed in France, Sweden, Russia & Ukraine, covering genres of games for kids, wargames & adventures.
